Hello, my name is Clarence “Teddy” Jones and I am the Director of Restorative Practices Training for STEP-UP Texas. I graduated from Texas State University and received a B.A. in History with a minor in Sociology.  As part of my 20-year professional journey, I have served as the Coordinator of Student Agency and Engagement and a Restorative Practices Associate seeking transformative change across schools in Austin ISD. I have also been on the other side of the school-to-prison pipeline, serving as a Juvenile Supervision Officer with Travis County. My most important role has been being a devoted husband and father of three boys who inspire me daily. Ultimately, my life experiences have led me on an equity journey through Restorative Practices, which have enlightened me on the importance of building community, nurturing healthy relationships, and analytical self-reflection.
