With a solid background spanning over 13 years in mental health, including working extensively with children and families, Dr. Montano has honed her skills in providing culturally sensitive care at the Travis County Juvenile Probation since July of 2022. Recently, Dr. Montano completed her Ph.D. in clinical psychology, specializing in Social Justice and Diversity, from Fielding Graduate University. Her commitment to serving marginalized communities led her to undertake a residency at the Travis County Juvenile Probation Department, approved by the American Psychological Association. During her doctoral residency, Dr. Montano focused on expanding her skills, serving justice-involved youth, and providing psychological evaluations, group therapy, individual counseling, and family therapy. Dr. Montano is fluent in Spanish and embraces her bilingualism to cater to the diverse needs of Spanish-speaking and Latinx populations. Her professional journey also includes valuable experience in residential facilities, where she dedicated herself to the psychological assessment of adolescents with serious mental illness. As such, Dr. Montano combines her knowledge, expertise, and passion to empower her clients on their path to healing and growth.

When not working, Dr. Montano enjoys working out, spending time with her son and husband, and is a big fan of libraries.
